Jodhpur

Arriving at the Mehrangarh fort both of us were feeling exhausted and a bit over seeing forts. Once you've seen one they all pretty much become a blur. Anyway we decided to pay the 200 rupee entrance fee and go and have a look which included the audio guide. Their were some interesting points such as a man being sealed alive in the foundations to ward off evil spirits and some swords dating back 800 years. An old man also gave me a smell of some raw opium(which smelled like dirt) and offered some for Nicole saying it would help her sore stomach, which I graciously declined. He then explained that it was drunk as a tea by the royal family and used before going into battle by the soldiers to offer pain relief if they were wounded. I guess they didn't have Panadol back then. From the top of the fort there were some spectacular views over the blue city. I thought this was an interesting fort and worth going to, but not as good as Jaisalmer.
